Wes Zimmermann MD

 

Wes Zimmermann is a former international diver (1978-1991). He was trained in the Netherlands as a junior and at the University of Nebraska (coach Dr. Jeff Huber) as a senior. He participated in several European Championships, World Cups, the NCAA Championships and The University Games.

Wes Zimmermann was a part-time age-group diving coach responsible for Amersfoort Diving, The Netherlands (1988-2009). His team won the national team championship 7 times in a row (2003-2009), making him 7x coach of the year. His best diver placed 9th in the 2006 world junior championships (girls 16-18, 10 meter platform).

Wes Zimmermann is a clinical physician specializing in the rehabilitation of sport and work related (overuse) injuries. He is an officer in the royal Dutch Army (lt.col). He is also in private sports medicine practice in the city of Amersfoort, The Netherlands.
